would you like fries with that?

So, I have this job..and I'm not a fan. I've worked there for one year and about 3 or so months. Nothing against the whole corporation and what not, but seriously i get some of the grossest, unappreciative and rudest customers out there. Plus, some of my managers tend to make everything about themselves and point out every wrong doing and sort of embarass you in front of the customers. Not fun.

To add to all that drama, lately they've been giving me some of the dodgiest shifts. I mean, there have been so many newcomers, so many people quiting, that I feel like I'm the only one left that's been there for a long time and they're taking me for advantage.

Take this weekend for example. I was given a 2-hour shift today (POINTLESS!), and tomorrow, I'm doing a 3-hour shift. Those are seriously just a waste of my time. And a waste of my last few days of freedom! To add to that, I wasn't given any shifts for the upcoming week...how thoughtless of them!

Anywhoo, I'm going to stop rambling on about this, just incase it could all come back to me ;)

being new is scary

Sooo, first post. I don't know what you're normally supposed to drabble on about here, so i guess I'll do just that. Drabble.

Today I went to the city with my friend Sophie. The day started off pretty bad. First off, I woke up and it was absolutely boiling hot. So that made it extra hard to put on make up, get dressed, etc.

I left the house, only to realise that there was a possibly that if I didn't run for my life, I was going to miss my bus. So, naturally, I ran. And I ran. And I ran. Only to get 100m away from my stop to see the 120 bus drive past all giddy and proud of itself. That's always fun. I waited there for the next bus.

I did eventually get into the city, where i ran like a mad woman to purchase the gifts for my friend.
I seriously wanted to keep what I bought for her to myself, I was so jealous.

The first thing I bought was a MAC eyeshadow in 'Woodwinked'. It is seriously the prettiest brown/gold colour I've ever seen. Plus, my friend had been talking about getting it for a while so i decided that I would get it for her.
While I was in the beautiful MAC store (possibly my favourite place in the world) I discovered that there was two eyeshadows there that I want for myself. The first being 'Honeylust' a realllly nice golden colour, and the second being 'All That Glitters' which is a lighter golden/highlighter colour. I nearly died. They were the most beautiful eyeshadows and I can't wait to head right back into the city to purchase them. Yayy! So excited hahaha.

The other thing I bought for her was this really unique ring from Tree of Life. Usually, I would not venture into this shop, as it is very, well, hippy. However, as I was passing earlier today, I noticed some really nice looking jewelry on this stand. So I hid my face and ran in. The ring is soo different but yet soo nice. It was black and silver with a little flower on it and then with all these little diamante strips coming off. Just so you know, I'm terrible at explaining the way things look/smell/taste. Overall, it's a really nice ring.

It makes me very depressed to not be able to have all the money in the world to buy all the things that I want while I'm still young. I want literally everything in the MAC stores, a whole new wardrobe, jewelry, OPI nail polish, ralph perfume and soo so much more. I'm possibly the greediest person I've ever met.

Anyway, I think that's enough discussing myself for one day, don't you think?
xoxo
